Makris Gialos is a sandy beach, with clear, warm waters with lovely fish swimming alongside you. The bar, showers and toilet facilities are great and definitely represent some of the value of the sun lounger fee. The staff are visible and attentive and ready to take your food and drink orders. The prices are a little inflated but not by much.

A taxi from Argostoli harbour to Makris Gialos beach was only 10 euro and this was money well spent. The water was crystal clear and calm. We felt very safe on the beach and lounged on the soft sand until it was time to head back to Argostoli.. This is one of the nicest beaches in kefalonia we have visited five times in the past.We visited.
